On Monday evening, about 18 HTU members gathered at the US 52 rest area along the Root River for the annual ritual of picking up trash. Work went quickly because trash was not very heavy, though we did manage to hook, play and land a tire and car parts from an apparent crash. The usual beer cans and shot bottles showed up. After swapping stories, eating cookies and drinking pop, we headed out. A good time was had by all.
We will gather again next fall.
